PSP toughness test....this can be painful to watch. - PSP - Extreme testing from Broken Review on Vimeo.

The Slim & Lite model scored a modest 65% in the Broken Review test, with the unprotected screen and flimsy UMD drive letting it down, somewhat. The moral of the story being that if you have a PSP Slim & Lite then make sure you buy some screen protectors or a keep it in a case. That, or don't throw it from a moving vehicle.

Arsenal finally ended bad run of games with a win...

Manager Arsne Wenger was proud of his team's performance at Bolton, after seeing them come back from 2-0 down to win the match 3-2 with only ten men.

The Gunners had midfielder Abou Diaby sent off for serious foul play in the first half, and saw their defence breached twice for the second match in succession.

It didn't look as though there was a way back for Arsenal until William Gallas scored in the second half, before a Robin van Persie penalty brought the match level.

A late Fabregas strike which was deflected into the Bolton match capped a magnificent comeback.

Wenger said: "I am very proud of our performance. The first half we didn't play badly but everything went against us.

So Arsenal next game will be against LIVERPOOL at home on Apr, 01.

Games Characters in real life?

Well, i am no big fan of Mario but i think he still is a cool game character. Always on a mission to save his beloved Princess Peach and what not. Mario has taken on the role of Nintendo's mascot and has since been extensively merchandised. Mario wears a short, stubby man wearing a hat with an 'M' on it, brown hair, black moustache, an abnormally large and bulbous nose, white glove. Overall, Mario is still a cool game character. But how will Mario look in real life? Just look below.....

So...the real life Mario don't look as cute or charming as Mario from the fact it look damn right creepy. I am sure this picture will give many Mario fan children nightmares for weeks hehe.

Next is Homer form the Simpsons. Homer, the father, works as a safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant—a position at odds with his careless, buffoonish personality. He is married to Marge Simpson, a stereotypical American housewife and mother. But how will Homer look if he was in real life?

He will look like your worse nightmare....damn those eyes...

Also the two major new characters will be Yoda and Vader from the Star wars...cant wait to try out this game.

Amazing The Linger In Shadows PS3 Tech Demo

The hard-working gang at Plastic, demoscene creators of the PlayStation 3 semi-interactive demo Linger In Shadows, have released the video they showed at this past weekend's Breakpoint. While not a game, the interactive demo is said by the creators to be released to PS3 owners at some point in the future via the PlayStation Network as an illustration of the machine's technical capabilities. Everything in the video is ruuning real time on the PS3, it is NOT CGI. So i hope to see future PS3 games looking this good.

For those of you who missed GDC, the Gears of War 2 tech demos are available for free on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. For those of you who either don't own an Xbox 360 or are too lazy to connect it to the internet, the Gears of War 2 tech demo is above. It's direct feed and sweet. Another clip after the jump.

Hajime Tabata talks about fitting Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII in UMD

Square Enix's Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII was released yesterday. So that you guys might be able to fully enjoy what the game has to offer, you might want to read what Hajime Tabata had to say when they were still developing the game and fitting it onto a UMD.

Due to schedules and the memory concerns they had with the UMD, Hajime Tabata said, "a good deal of it ended up on the cutting room floor." The story they originally had featured episodes that were more detailed in nature. They also intended to add a multiplayer mode using the PSP network function, but that, too, wasn't fully realized in the final version.

Even if this was the case, Tabata is still proud of how they were able to come up with the game. In fact, he is generally proud what the game is able to bring to fans. He says:

Perhaps the most satisfaction I get from the game is that it functions extremely well as a prequel, and as such, moves seamlessly into FINAL FANTASY VII. After playing the game to the end, I am confident that fans will feel that they have “returned” to the world of FINAL FANTASY VII.

Metal Gear Solid 4 "Steel" PS3 Selling Like Hotcakes!

Konami has to like its chances on the success of Metal Gear Solid 4, if the quick sell out of the "steel" edition PlayStation 3 are any indication. The Konamistyle web site, which handles all manner of Konami brand stuff, is already sold out of the limited edition 40GB console. It's going for 51,800 yen ($517 US) and should be available at other retailers soon, but the allotment given to Konami's own store has been quickly depleted.

Watch Bluray on your PSP with PS3 next update!

Still not yet official, but rumored that Playstation 3's next update, firmware 2.20, will include support of Portable Copy.

Portable Copy will give Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable owners the ability to buy a Blu-Ray movie, insert it into their PS3 and download a standard res version to their PSP.

While this would be pretty exciting news the fact that Sony has yet to mention it will be on this latest firmware update leaves me a little dubious about the whole thing. We know it's coming, I'm just not sure it will be with this firmware.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue vs Real life!

Double click on image for full screen size.
This game looks so real sometime it is hard to see the differences between real like and the game...just by looking at these screen and you will come to agree with me.
The US release of Prologue includes the High Speed Ring track, which has appeared in almost every previous release of Gran Turismo. So while I won't go into too much detail on its layout or what have you, know that it's still fantastic fun to drive and is just one more reason to pick this up on release day.

Aside from the new rides, perhaps the biggest addition to the US version is the ability to tune your cars. You can only tune, not upgrade, so you can't add on a turbocharger or some such yet (we'll have to wait for GT5 proper for that). The tuning stuff here is reasonably robust, though you'll have to finish each of the events in the C, B and A classes before you're allowed to dive into its options. The game will release come mid-April.

Overall i think it was a successful event, being the first official psp challenge gathering all top psp gamers for a face off.The respond was great, the queues for joining the challenge was long and many did not manage to participate because of limited limited places.i think it was great fun but also very tiring for me. It was a 2 days event. For the first day, i was there from 10.30am to 5.30pm, because of bad weather and heavy rain...all PSP participates are force to come back tomorrow to continue the match. It really was a blessing in disguise because all psp gamers have extra time to train up for tomorrow. The 2nd day i was there from 11 am to 7.30pm...really tiring but also very happy because i won the Championship lol. Looking forward to futures events like this.

Apple iPhone SDK beta breaks 100,000 downloads

Looks like we can expect a plethora of new applications and games for the iPhone and iPod Touch soon, as Apple just announced that over 100,000 developers have downloaded the beta iPhone Software Development Kit (SDK) which helps third-party contributors in creating apps for Apple's handheld platforms.

"Developer reaction to the iPhone SDK has been incredible with more than 100,000 downloads in the first four days,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing through press wire. He noted that the SDK's launch video on Apple's website has reached over one million hits, proving how many developers want their hands in the cookie jar.

Apple explained that its iPhone and iPod Touch are profitable platforms where devs gain 70% of revenue their software. AOL, Electronic Arts, Epocrates, and Sega were cited as developers that "already demonstrated amazing applications using the SDK."

Not long ago, Sega revealed its Super Monkey Ball for the iPhone utilizing the gizmo's accelerometer feature. Electronic Arts will also launch Spore on the handheld, marking a promising start for Apple game software. We're all eyes on the scene to keep you informed, so watch this space for updates!

Bad news for people who already bought the Japan version of this game(i am one of them). Because Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, available in retail stores and on the PLAYSTATION Store, next month, is gaining a few new exciting features for its upcoming US release. North American consumers will enjoy features, such as Drift Mode, Car Tuning, and most excitingly, two-player split screen racing and a new set of offline and online Race Events.
